[Yuya sniffs, pointedly.] Look... we're close enough in size, I'll bring you something to wear and then you can wash these clothes after you've washed yourself.

[Because regardless right now he's a mess, and right now he needs a bath.

Yuya tries to gently pluck Nightmare out of his hands.]

[ Kano lets Nightmare go, only so he can wrap his arms around himself. ]

I like these clothes. I'm not taking them off.

[ If Yuya's going to want him in the tub he's going to have to pick Kano up himself and toss him in there. ]

You probably have a whole layer of dead skin stuck to them. [Like, he's just being honest, they're probably gross as hell.] You won't even take them off long enough to take care of them?

[And himself, but Yuya can guess where asking about taking care of himself would go.]

[Yuya sets Nightmare carefully on the sink.] So what are you going to do when they fall apart?

Patch it up? How long do you think I've had this thing, Yuya?

[ Years upon years. It's an oversized jacket, even now, and it was even larger on him when he was smaller. ]

You didn't have your shirt and pants forever. [His clothes are gonna a disintegrate one of these days, but more importantly.] But you and your clothes are full of dirt and germs and that's gross.

[suddenlybees]

[ Thankfully, his shirt and pants-- socks and underwear too-- are all regularly changed, but there isn't much variety in anything that he wears, similar shades and style like he just bought 3-4 of the same thing and wears them in rotation. Still better than his jacket that he's had for ages, and continues to cling to like a security blanket. ]

It's fine, it's fine~ Dirt you just sort of- [ He takes the hem of his shirt and gives it a little wave, which would presumably kick the dust off if his shirt weren't all bloody and matted in there. It's not a very old stain; the skin over his stomach is also smeared with dry blood. ]

And for germs, I'm working on a way to get rid of it!

Yeah, a bath! [Yuya snatches the showerhead from it's mount, points it at Kano, and proceeds to turn the dial on full blast.

Realistically soaking him and his clothes would just make the stench worse, but this is their stand-off now.]

[ Kano yelps and leaps out of the room, making a mad dash for the door outside as if he were any normal cat getting hissy at having water turned on him. Yuya can chase him but he'll have to let go of the showerhead. ]

[Yuya chases him until the cord is taught, and when it can't go father he turns back to drop the showerhead in the bathtub and then go back into the bedroom.] Ka~no~!

[suddenlybees]

[ Kano is too busy being deterred by the guards, three of which who block the doorway out into the hall and stare down at him with folded arms, not believing a word of his yelling about how Yuya's trying to drown him, let him out, they've got to, please!!!!! ]

[Yuya puts a finger to his lips, to the guards, as he creeps up slowly a d quietly behind Kano...]

Boo.

[ Kano jumps and whips around, jfc Yuya ]

I swear to god, I'm going to shank you someday. Keep one eye open when you sleep, Yu~ya!!

[Yuya just starts laughing, trying to shush Kano between giggles.] N-not in front of your guards, what will they think!

[Probably that they aren't paid enough for this.]

I think they should reassign some of the guards outside your room tonight~ For your own protection, you see? Who knows what I'll do?

[ And it'll get them off his back for a bit. A win-win situation. ]

I don't know, there's not a lot of space out there with Toki's guards... [And like, they definitely can't swing for that when Yuya's already established himself as willing to slip Kano out of their watch multiple times.]

I dunno, if you move some stuff around, I bet you can fit a guard or two inside the closet, a couple to camp out in the middle of the floor, another in the bathroom to make sure it doesn't flood overnight...

No, that definitely couldn't work. [His tone is light even as his gaze drifts down to where the bloody spot is (was?)] Your room is more spacious, so of course they'll have to stay here.
