[ Ahhhhh, no no no, no tears, Kano can't handle tears, reaching over and wiping Yuya's face with his dirty jacket sleeves. A hug? It feels silly doing this when Yuya's asleep, but at least everything's just audio recorded and not video, so Kano leans in and gives Yuya a quick, awkward hug. ]

I'll help, cross my heart! Why don't you go rest now? Go to sleep~ I'll take care of things, and we'll talk again later.

[Yuya whines, and when he's pulled into the hug he sluggishly grabs for Kano and tries to tuck against him.]

Eh...

[ Kano freezes in place, arms loose around Yuya's back but not pulling away either. ]

This'll be super awkward to explain when you wake up, so how 'bout a pillow instead? Nightmare can share~

[Yeah this is what happens when you steal his pillow, he looks for another one. Which is Kano's shoulder, and Yuya's too deep in rest between dreams for a response. That sleeping pill is doing its job well.]

[ Kano's shoulder isn't very comfortable, but with Yuya clinging to him, it's hard to escape and get that replacement pillow. Whatever!!!! Kano is very good at not explaining anything, so who cares if it's super awkward? With a sigh, he lowers himself to lie perpendicular to Yuya, head on Yuya's stomach to use as a pillow instead of offering Yuya any better option, he can hold hands or something and that'll have to be enough. ]

[He's limp enough to be easy to push away, if Kano really wants.

But like this, it's also easy to take Yuya's head and use him as a pillow the same way. Yuya only shifts slightly for comfort before going still and quiet once more.

If Kano doesn't try to shake him awake, he'll probably sleep in all the way until the late morning.]

[ Kano closes his eyes and naps briefly, half hour intervals before his eyes flutter open and he stares at the ceiling for a bit before closing his eyes again. It's around five in the morning when he decides he's had enough of that, pulling away from Yuya and climbing back up onto the loft to retrieve Nightmare. He sets her inside the hood of his jacket while he pulls both covers off the bed and also one of the pillows, setting the blankets on top of Yuya and the pillow... just sort of off to the side, so it looks like Yuya had a pillow all along but in his tossing and turning had knocked it away and that's why it's over there, not that Kano's a bad host who denies his sleepover friends pillows. ]

[Yuya will probably find it sometime in the night as long as it's in arm's reach, pulling it close for the sweet, soft comfort.

The rest of the night and morning stays peaceful. At about ten Yuya starts to stir more actively, blinking slowly and sleepily. Then he rolls over to his back and stretches.]

[ Good, save his poor stiff neck. Around ten in the morning, Yuya will wake up to find the room empty, aside from Nightmare who has been placed back on top of the bed, glaring at Yuya for having stolen most of her nest materials. There's a piece of paper rubberbanned to her front leg, which she rustles irritably at Yuya's direction. ]

[Yuya blinks around, realizing after a moment he's alone and there's no one but Nightmare. At least that means he notices her and her note quickly, which he moves to carefully take off so he can read it. Animal messengers, huh...]

[ Yeah... Maybe Kano was hoping Yuya would notice and give Nightmare back the blankets once he's awake.

Anyways, it's a note! it reads: ]

Gooooooooooddd morning!!
Or afternoon!!
Or evening, but hopefully I'm back before evening.
Who knows?!?!?!
You can stay longer if you want, but if you need to leave, please use the fire escape!

[Yuya squints. The... fire escape?

Well, he'll move the blankets and pillow back on top of the bed, giving Nightmare a quick pet before he looks for his pants and phone. Did Kano leave his shirt or is he still wearing that?]

Kano is still wearing Yuya's shirt, yeah. At least his pants and phone and everything else are there. ]

[Yuya will probably never get that shirt back. At least it was just the normal school button up, but now he's going to be wondering if Kano's always wearing it under his illusion...

He leans against the desk after he gathers his pants and phone and fires a text Kano's way.]
