[ He's already here!! Lying on Toki's bed and playing with Kuroko, but he sits up as soon as Yuya comes home and hops off the loft. ]

I'm here, I'm here~ Welcome back~!! How was class?

[ Was it a class Kano was supposed to be in? Did Yuya take notes? Those would also be useful. ]

It was good! [He drops his book bag onto his chair before flipping it open to empty it a little. He pulls out the demon book he's still got on loan, considering it before he decides not to bring so much bulk and sets it on the desk. He feels around for his wallet, setting it on the desk as well as his key.] I'm going to change, but is there anything I should bring besides Odd-Eyes?

That's it, I don't think we'll need anything else! It's pretty sunny out, so if you want a hat or a hoodie, it'll be a good day for it!

[ He's a responsible friend who will suggest some sort of head protection. ]

And, hm... Can I borrow that book for tonight? I'll drop it down into the closet in the morning!

[Yuya pauses as he opens his wardrobe, glancing over.] Oh... right! Yeah, you can borrow it. I've been having a hard time getting through it, so maybe you'll do better than me.

[He pulls out a casual set of clothes, a couple bracelets and a collar before he goes to disappear in the bathroom.]

If I have trouble, I'll crowdsource~ We'll figure this out, don't worry, don't worry~

[ For now, he'll flip through the book until Yuya's finished changing and then shove it up into the closet ceiling into his room. Daemon summoning... cool stuff. ]

[The book is thick, old, and actually covers less about contracts and summoning and more about other forms of demonic influence and power. Notably, Yuya has papers bookmarking a couple sections: anti-demon measures, wounds that signify someone's demonic nature, possession, curses. It looks like he's only halfway through.

The last bookmark has some notes written in Japanese that seem to line up with Toki's book about Yuya. blood, chest hurt. smoke. scream - inhuman. fire.

Yuya comes out in a few minutes, going back to his wardrobe to finish accessorizing with a belt he wears off the hip. No hat, though, he doesn't have any with him.]

[ It's not a practical application book, then... but it's background knowledge that Kano doesn't get from his other books, the bits and pieces of scripture that should have been destroyed long ago so they don't fall into the hands of somebody like him. He takes special care to make note of what Yuya's been reading up on more recently, glancing out the window where Odd-Eyes usually rests, and then back to the book.

Possession... blood... fire... Haha, alright. ]

-—Are you done? Okay, okay, let me shove this up into my room and I'll be right back!

[ He hops over to the closet to get the book into his room, and also takes the time to haul himself up into his closet space and dig something out of one of the cardboard boxes to stick into his pocket before dropping back down to the ground. ]

Sure. [Yuya waves his hand before he goes to gather his wallet, phone, and key, patting them down in his pockets before he waits by the open door.]

Odd-Eyes is waiting outside. Where are we going?

Just out into town! I got the map memorized, so I can give direction up front!

[ They're going to get a bit lost, but that's alright, Odd-Eyes is fast enough that they can cover a lot of ground and eventually find the shop. ]

All right, then you're in front this time.

[Yuya locks the door behind them (hope Toki won't need to get in later) and then it's down the stairs and out the door, where Odd-Eyes is sitting. Yuya gestures for him to lower a little, and waits for Kano to climb on first before he gets up himself.]

[ Toki can pick locks now, sort of, he'll be fine. Sort of.

It's exciting getting to be up front, like what he'd imagine driving a motorbike would be like except he trusts Odd-Eyes not to crash more than he trusts himself. Can Kano even ride a normal regular bike? Who knows. But he's googled around where the bike shop is and he knows traffic laws well enough to understand not to walk when the light is red, and eventually!!! here they are, the bike shop. ]

We're here, we're here~ Help me choose out a cool looking one, Yu~ya! What color do you think?

[Yuya does a double take as they stop in front of the bike shop, sliding off of Odd-Eyes.] Wait, you're really getting a motorbike?

[Living large! He thought that money had alternate purposes and, more importantly, where did it come from. Did Kano's mom have a good life insurance policy too??]

Uh--maybe black and red? Or orange, or blue...

[ The money absolutely had alternate purposes but there was enough leftover to buy a bike, taking into account Toki's insurance and Kano's Las Vegas savings and... the fact that he can fake cash.

Blue and orange..... ]

Maybe I'll get a pure black one and go vroom vroom!! in the dead of night without anybody seeing.

You have to have your lights on. [He's pretty sure that's a thing, not like Kano could illusion himself anyway to hide.

Yuya pushes into the shop, looking around with wide eyes. There's so many and they're all cool.] How much money do you have?

[ Nobody will know if he doesn't—- until they crash into him ig.

Kano follows Yuya inside, head turning left and right but not really gravitating towards any bike in particular. ...There are certain things he wants from a bike, not really having anything to do with color or style. Like the one he eventually crouches next to, to see if it can attach to a side car. ]

I've got enough, I think~ It's an early birthday present to myself, so we're not going to worry about the cost!!

That early?! [Yuya laughs, wandering over to the one Kano is inspecting. Then he weaves around and points to a sleek one nearby with yellow trim.] Look at this one!

[He won't have a critical opinion of any of these.]

It's coming up in a couple of months!!

[ The statement still stands, whether he's talking about his December "birthday" or his May one, but Kano hops up onto his feet and joins Yuya at his side. ]

Hm, hmm~ Black and yellow, danger colors~!! Kinda cheesy to have a theme, but... [ bees are cool, maybe he'll go for it ] Do you know if there's any sort of law that prevents me from installing a stinger in the back? Nobody would dare rear-end me, that way~

Eight months is a lot more than a couple. [He walks over to Danger Bike, looking it over.] Some of them are so pointy they might as well be stingers, so I think if you stay in that size it's fine. It'll be your motorbee.

It still counts as a couple~

[ But a motorbee... He circles around the bike, looking it over. Yellow really isn't his thing, despite the running bee joke, but if it were black and white...

He tilts his head, and the yellow paint washes away to leave behind pure white. ]

If you were to install helicopter blades on this thing, where would you put it...

Wouldn't something like runes be better if you want it to fly? [Exactly what he suggested to Keith when he asked about a flying motorcycle. Someone take his idea.] Or jets.

Hmm, well, I don't want to rely on magic all the time, if I can help it!

[ He says, using his illusion to try out different mods. He should honestly just get the cheapest or most fuel efficient one, since he can make it look like whatever he wants. ]

But something like jets might be doable! I wonder who could do that for me~

Uuh... [Yuya pauses, then shrugs. He doesn't know any engineers.] There's probably someone who can, but you might have to look off campus.

Mm... alright, eBay it is! I think I'll get this one— it looks pretty light, right? Think Odd-Eyes can lift something this big?

Oh yeah, Odd-Eyes is really--wait, you're not going to ride it out?

[Isn't riding it the fun part??]

Gas is expensive, Yu~ya, I'm already stretching my budget pretty thin...!!

[ Can he ride a normal bike?!?? No. ]

Ah, how 'bout this! I've got rope I was intending to secure onto Odd-Eyes if possible, but what if we use it as a tether and have him pull use along behind him? I promised Toki the first ride, so we gotta keep this hush, hush~

[ In that way... he just has to steer, and let Odd-Eyes do all the work of making the bike move ]
