[Odd-Eyes grunts, but he obliges and speeds up. Provided they keep their weight center, it is easier to keep it upright when they're moving quickly. It would be even easier with the actual motor propelling it, but that's neither here nor there.

Yuya, at least, can ride a normal bike and he nudges Kano's side with one of his hands.] Stay in the middle! You have to balance it with your weight!

Hm? What?

[ Kano turns around to look at Yuya— which throws their center of balance off centered, but that's why Yuya is here, to be the counterbalance. ]

[That's not how it works at all. Yuya tips a little, precariously so as he loses his grip on a bump and yelps. He flails a bit before he leans forward to reach around Kano so he can get a grip on the handles himself to put more of his weight into the center. His chin bumps Kano's shoulder briefly, clicking his teeth together.] Face forward and sit up straight, Kano!

[ It's how it works and why there should be two people at all times, or at least a side car next to the motorcycle so the entire vehicle has more than just two wheels to balance on. Kano also gives a yelp when the bike jolts, but scooting up just has him slide off the front of the seat and-- no, maybe this will be better, this way he can sort of crouch there with his feet still secured and make himself smaller and Yuya will be able to see over his head and tell him what to do. ]

I can do one or the other, Yuya!!! Think maybe we need to go faster?? Don't give it time to wobble??!?!?

You're supposed to be the one steering! [It's not supposed to be one or the other!!] Just--listen to me, it's a bike so you have to keep it steady with your weight! Try and keep it in the center!

[And not even faster, this is fast enough that sounds like a recipe for disaster. At least they have a long path ahead of them.]

[ If they're in any danger of colliding into a building, he trusts Odd-Eyes to haul them up in the air, their lives are in your hands, bro!!

It's hard, though, getting a crash course in riding a bike when he really doesn't want to crash it, doing his best to lean this way and that except he keeps over correcting and the bike wobbles worse than ever. ]

Won't it be easier if I just lean right and you lean left??? We weigh about the same, don't we??????

No?! [Yuya's no science guy but he has a better understanding of physics, at least.] It's harder to keep balanced if you're leaning sideways, that's why you need to stay straight! Ugh--grab the handles!

[He has an idea but he needs Kano to do that first.]

[ It makes perfect sense to him, like a tightrope walker with their arms outstretched or carrying a long stick, distributing their weight across a further distance instead of all jammed up in one tiny motorbike seat where every little fidget has the bike careening this way or that.

As best he can, he stops fidgeting and grabs onto the handles, a death grip. ]

I got it!! Now what?!

[The problem with his thinking is that they're people and not a contraption, and people experience things like "fatigue".

Yuya sucks in a sharp breath once he has the handles, relieved. And then he scoots forward, shifting his legs to clamp them against the sides of the bike as he lets go of the handles and instead reaches to wrap his arms around Kano's waist. He holds tightly as he pulls Kano back and, more importantly, sitting straight up and pressed to Yuya. He has more muscle, so it's easier to keep Kano in place like a seatbelt since he can't stop wiggling on his own volition.

It should steady the bike, if Kano doesn't try to throw himself out of Yuya's grip.]

[ Unfortunately for the both of them, Kano startles and yells and tries to shake Yuya off the moment he gets hugged from behind. ]

-—Switch seats!! Let's switch seats!!!!

We're already moving?! [Yuya's response is to hold tighter.] Kano, Kano stop--you're not hurt, okay? I'm not hurting you!

[ I can only imagine what this looks like from the outside, two teens on a bike getting towed by a dragon...

It's not even about being hurt, it's about touching and ughhhhhhh

Kano holds his breath and sits as still and stiff as he can. He also closes his eyes. ]

Alright, alright, we're good...!

[ If Yuya's going to want to steer, he's going to have to move Kano's arms for him. ]

[They can barely get staying upright, maybe they shouldn't worry about going in any direction but a straight line.

Yuya sighs and eases his grip a little, pausing to be sure that now that Kano's still (stiff) that they seem to be steady.

Thank god.] There... do you see how the bike feels under you like this?

Mmhmm, yeah!

[ His eyes are squeezed tight and he can't see shit but he can imagine what it's supposed to be, a blur of black road where if he falls he will immediately get skinned. ]

Okay, focus on that. If you know what it feels like when it's steady, then you'll be able to tell when you're off-center. That's the first thing for riding a bike.

[At least a normal bike, but he's pretty sure you can apply it to all two-wheeled vehicles. And unicycles, probably?]

[ ...Kano cracks an eye open but mmm, nope, it's just a blur to him and he's sure being off-centered will also be a blue except maybe the ground gets replaced by the sky real soon. ]

How do you stop a bike.

The brakes. [Kano, why.] You pull the levers on the handles.

[And maybe tell Odd-Eyes before he yanks a wheel-locked bike and sends them flying.]

[ That's something he has to tell Kano, because he immediately grips the brakes and locks the wheels of the bike and the entire thing tips over face first. ]

[Too late!

Yuya hollers as the bike goes forward because Odd-Eyes definitely doesn't stop, he keeps running until the dug yanks the rope right out of his claws leaving both Kano and Yuya at the mercy of summersaulting forward with the bike.

He stops eventually, turning around with a quizzical sound.]

[ He can at least break the bike's fall with his body!!! it's worth that much more than him, and it doesn't occur to Kano to let go of the bike even when his feet lift off the pedals and himself off the seat, so if Yuya's still hanging onto Kano who is still hanging onto the bike, they're all going to faceplant together.

But

As long as Yuya's still hanging onto Kano, he won't feel any pain. There's blood and bruises!!! But no pain. Small blessings. ]

[They are absolutely going to faceplant together, Yuya clinging in a final desperate attempt to keep from going into the air before they're tossed forward anyway, everything spins until he hits the pavement and they skid forward.

He releases his grip, rolling over onto his back with a groan.] Ugh...

[ The moment Yuya releases his grip, all the pain comes slamming into him all at once, while Kano keeps himself blissfully numb to things, sitting up and checking his arms and legs to make sure no bone's sticking out where there isn't supposed to be, and then looking over Yuya for the same. ]

Still alive? You're okay, right, Yuya?!? Here, you take the front seat this time...

[Yuya hisses in pain, squeezing his eyes shut and just staying still for a moment before he opens them again and lifts his head. He's definitely bleeding from scraping against the pavement on his cheek and arms, and one of them is probably going to bruise like hell the next day. His hip hurts too.]

Ow... [He pushes himself up, rubbing the back of his head.] I--think I'll be okay. Are you...? [He gives Kano a once-over. He had a lot less bare skin, at least.] And the bike?

[ Kano hops up onto his feet like there's nothing wrong with him at all. So long as his body doesn't register the pain, it won't collapse, it's fine. His clothes are a mess, but a once-over with an illusion fixes that up, and the same with the scratches and dents in the bike. ]

I'm good, it's good~!! Come on, up you go~

[ He extends a hand to Yuya- he can try and heal up any gaping wounds to stop the bleeding while he makes contact, but anything more than that's going to take time. ]

[Yuya can't see through the illusion, but he can see it happen right in front of him. He purses his lips before taking Kano's hand and easing himself to his feet, looking around.]

We're pretty far out... you don't want to stop for a moment?
