[Phew... At least he's still Kano. Mav reaches up to inspect his nose, realizes he's still got his phone in that hand, hangs up, and uses it as a light to better examine the damage. Not too bad, thankfully. He's not sure how quickly he can throw an illusion up, though... Mm.]

Ack—- [ The light hurts more than his face, really, and he squeezes his eyes shut and pulls his hood up when it passes over his face. Everything looks fine. No bruising at all.

But he can't and he's just happy to see that stupid smile on Maverick's face, the one that he's seen plenty of times when he's Nekano but so so rarely when he's just himself, and that feels good too. ]
