[It doesn't really hurt, but it feels like his body is vibrating. There's little sparks of light behind his eyes. He briefly wonders if it may be a terrible idea to use a taser on someone whose brain consistently short circuits, but too late now. Everything goes black. Good luck with the guards, Shuuya.]

[ Hey, you know how ECT can sometimes work miracles on people? Maybe Toki's brain will be fried, but there's also a chance that it'll reset and be less... what it was. It's the only bit of optimism Kano has for this scenario, letting Toki's body crumple to the ground because there's no way he can hold up dead weight, whether that's in his child body or in his regular one.

Hands up in the air! ]

Aah, it'd be bad if you hurt somebody who already surrendered, wouldn't it? Toki, too, Nii-chan wasn't posing a threat to anybody, but you still got him! Haha, how cruel~ I wonder what your boss would say, to that sort of abuse of power~?

[ Hands up but also inching back towards the window... His """fire escape""" is right there, and if there was ever a time to use it, it'd be now. He'll be back, Toki, maybe. ]

[If and when Kano returns, it will be to an empty room except for the lizard; the guards having dragged Toki off to wherever it is they keep the problem children when use of force is deemed necessary. Maybe it's a cell in the Citadel, maybe some soundproof room the basement. No one knows.]

[ Kano is on the run for two days and the guards have to drag him back kicking and screaming out of a sewing shop in Soleil, so by the time he's back, Toki is gone and he expected as much. At least... maybe the whole "Shuuya" thing hasn't been betrayed, so that's good.

That night, there is a drilling sound coming from inside Toki's closet. ]

[Toki isn't asleep. He doesn't sleep for more than five minutes at a time any more. Yuya, however, is in the midst of nightmares and whatever like usual. He won't wake up unless it gets too noisy.

Toki sets Kuroko down on the floor and heads to the closet to investigate. He hesitates a second before opening the door, wondering if Doreen has some squirrels spying on him or something.]

[ No squirrels, but there is a power drill, and the drill point gets dangerously close to Toki's head that ISN'T SUPPOSED TO BE THERE, it's lucky for him that Kano takes that moment to pull back and lean forward and blow the sawdust out of the hole and into Toki's face, that isn't supposed to be there either.

It's not a big hole yet, as he's just getting started. The plan is to perforate a couple of holes in the shape of a circle and then kick the floor through. ]

[Oh my god, that's a drill. The closet is no longer safe. After the drill bit and the sawdust are gone, Toki tries to peer up through the tiny hole, standing on his toes. He's an idiot, and hopefully Kano isn't intending to use the drill again right away.]

Kano, what are you doing!?

[He wants to know less of a what, and more of a why.]

[ If he was going to use the drill again, at least it would be a bit to the left, in the middle of Toki's forehead instead of mutilating his eye for the 2304985th time this month and the last. It's smart of him to speak up before Kano starts the drill again, and it saves Toki from a hole through the forehead.

Kano leans down and stares down into the hole. It's really no larger than half a centimeter across, so he can't really be sure what it is he's looking at, but he can tell from the voice. ]

Hmm... Go back to sleep, Toki.

I wasn't sleeping! If you don't tell me what you're doing, I'm just going to come up there!

[And a make a scene, on a floor where there are a lot of people.]

[ No!! Toki's already making a scene, but Kano would definitely get chewed out if this made its way to Imelda. ]

Shh, shh, alright! Don't come!! I'm just drilling a hole through the floor, that's all! Now go to bed! Even if you aren't sleepy!

I almost did that! Yuya thought it was a bad idea though! Speaking of Yuya, can you maybe do it tomorrow!? He's sleeping!

Yuya's wrong.

[ But huh, tomorrow... Mornings mean it's a greater chance of people hearing him, whereas at night, he's really only a bother to Toki and Yuya. ]

Can you maybe hold a pillow over his face for five minutes? I won't take too long.

Okay!

[Kano is ultimately responsible if Yuya suffocates. Toki leaves the closet, retrieves a pillow from his bed, and heads straight over to Yuya's loft. He climbs half-way up the ladder and proceeds to do exactly as Kano asked.]

[ Why does Toki just do whatever Kano asks?!! It was a joke!! Toki!!!!!!

Kano can't see what's going on outside of the closet, but. God. Alright, time to break out the chainsaw and wreck both their closets. Maybe the racket will wake Yuya up before Toki smothers him and rightfully blames it on Kano. ]

[Not being able to breathe is pretty obvious even to a sleeping brain. It's only a few seconds of being suffocated before Yuya jerks, blearily coming around--oh no it's on his face and he can't breathe he's being attacked.

The scream is muffled by the pillow, but Yuya's limbs are free to kick and flail in in attempt to knock Toki away.]

[Toki wasn't holding the pillow down very hard, a little confused on why this would help with the noise. When Yuya screams and starts flailing, Toki lets go and loses his balance on the ladder. It's short fall to the floor.]

I don't think it worked, Kano!

[ Oh my god, what is going on down there. He can hear screaming and thumping and Kano just... slides a cardboard box over the damage he's managed to make in his closet floor and pretends he has no part of this. Don't throw him under the bus, Toki!!!! Shh, shh, you're just dreaming, both Toki and Yuya are just dreaming... ]

[Yuya scrambles to sit up with a deep breath, wide-eyed as he looks around wildly.] W--wh--Toki?

[He leans over the bed to look at him. It's just Toki?] What are you doing?

I was just playing with Kuroko and then I heard this weird buzzing noise from the closet so I went to check it out and there was a drill coming down from the ceiling and it was Kano making a hole and I asked why he was doing it and he wouldn't tell me and then I said that you were sleeping and he should just make the hole in the morning when you're awake and he said to just put a pillow over your face so you won't hear him and be disturbed!

[... Yuya throws his pillow at Toki before rolling out of bed.] He's doing what?

[Yuya makes his way to the closet, turning on the light after he opens the door and squinting up at the ceiling.]

[Toki follows, and looks up. The hole isn't immediately noticeable anymore.]

Do you see it?

[Hm.

Yuya takes a hanger and turns it sideways. Then he taps the ceiling with it. Softly at first, but then growing in intensity quickly.]

[Toki isn't sure hanger tapping is going to annoy Kano enough, so he's just going to yell.]

Kano!

[ Kano ignores the tapping and yelling. He can feign being asleep. Hell, he can pretend he isn't even in his room, going ahead and shapeshifting into a cat just in case the two of them decide to come upstairs and investigate, Kano won't even be there.

Meow, meow, no Kano here, just a cat hanging out in the lounge. ]

I know you're up there, Kano! [Toki's out of his fucking mind but he's not a liar.] Stop drilling holes in the closet! Go to bed!

[There, that's as much effort as Yuya's going to exert here. One last irritated tap, and then he drops the hanger and sulks back out of the closet.]
