[Yuya offers the open bag to Kano. There's some tack in there for mounting the stars.]

We'll get there! Let's start over your bed and work outward, and I'll carry you when we can't reach from there.

[He takes another bag and pulls it open.] There's a thousand of these so we don't have to worry about running out.

Hehe~ I wonder how much'll be left over if we plaster the entire ceiling?

[ He takes a handful of tack to stick into his pockets, and a handful of stars too before pulling himself up onto the bunk to reach the ceiling. ]

I wonder... Wouldn't it be cool if we could throw glitter up there too, so it'd be shiny both day and night? I wonder how we can get glue up on the ceiling without it dripping?

[Yuya hauls himself up after, sitting on the opposite edge to reach another part of the ceiling. He starts ripping off little pieces of tack and sticking stars up immediately.]

I think glittery paint would work better.

Ohh, I'd have to go see if there's any glitter paint in stock! I think I might have paint? I have lots of glitter!!

[ Yuya is immediately 2304983x smarter than Kano, wow, maybe he just wanted to use up his tubes upon tubes of glitter that he has for whatever reason.

Kano, rather than ripping off tiny pieces, stretches the tack out into one thin, long... obviously curved... line, and pastes his stars up there point to point. This is definitely going to be part of something bigger. ]

I bet you could order it off the internet. [You can get anything off the internet, Yuya's pretty sure.] And use normal glitter and put it in jars... maybe with lights to make them lamps?

[Yes, this is a fantastic idea.

Yuya's just sticking stars in completely random locations, but at some point he gets the idea to make a star out of a bunch of stars.]

Hm~ I like making things myself! We can have a crafts date sometime~

[ Shipping costs can be brutal... Kano does have that PO box somewhere in town, but he uses it for things he can't scavenge very easily, like crickets. Paint and glitter? No problem. He's got plenty of jars, too.

Kano goes ahead and builds off of what Yuya puts down, strings of stars that are starting to form what looks like a section of a sigil, as far as he can reach without toppling off the bed. ]

That'd be fun... [Like play date, he assumes Kano means.

But you can't just draw star sigils in front of the guy who's studied all sorts of them because he summons familiars.

But it does take a moment and Kano can make some progress while Yuya's focused on expanding his section. But once his arms can't reach he's forced to hop down and move furniture to reach, and when he turns around for the stars that's when he catches the shape.]

... So who does that summon?

[ He opens his mouth, closes it, hums under his breath and hops off the bed too, climbing back onto the dresser to continue where he left off. ]

Hm... A staff member? I thought, since I run into a lot of trouble around here [ aka get into a lot of trouble, cause a lot of trouble ] it'd be good to have something ready-made to summon somebody like Hieke here, right?

[ It is not Hieke's symbol. Kano also has Hieke's symbol on hand at all times. He never uses it. ]

It's not Mr. Hieke's symbol. [Yuya knows what that looks like too.] But it's probably a good idea for you to keep his around.

Yuya stands up on the dresser next to Kano to start placing stars at the edge of the ceiling.] So it's a daemon staff member you're close to? If you want their symbol in your room... and they know you have it?

Haha, we can use the glitter paint to paint some of Hieke's up on the walls and stuff, wherever's within easy reach from anywhere in the room!

[ Yuya does not veto his potentially bad idea, so it must not be a bad idea. Kano continues placing the stars. ]

It's something like that, anyways~ They know I have it! But you gotta keep it hush hush, okay? Not all daemons like having their signs publicized, and I bet this one'll be super angry if he knew.

[ He's definitely going to know, with Kano staring up at the glowing stars all night and being able to see through Kano's eyes. He hopes he won't be too angry. ]

Maybe you shouldn't make him angry by putting his sigil in the ceiling. [Just a thought. Kano has no sense of self preservation, though.]

... It's really someone at Daybreak, right? A teacher? [Someone trustworthy and not whatever other symbols he found in a book or something.]

[ There's a pause before Kano answers, but he passes it off as him trying to get the last of the stars from his handful up on the ceiling before hopping off the dresser and retrieving more from the bag. ]

...Yep, that's right! And don't worry, it'll be hidden amongst all the other stars we're putting up, so it's not that immediately noticeable! It'll be a field of stars by the time we get all one thousand up there~

[ All he needs is for his specific stars to be connected, point to point, but with Yuya's scattered in too, and the future plans of glitter painting the walls, it should be too blinding to be immediately noticeable. Going from completely blank walls to something garish like this is going to take some getting used to on Kano's part, though, maybe. ]

But if someone does, you'll have to explain it. [Yuya and Kano might be stupid but the staff generally aren't, and Kano's in hot water specifically for daemon summoning.] So you should get their permission first.

[He's not completely on board with the 'sigil on the wall', but as long as it's someone trustworthy there's some argument for it. Within reason and with allowance.]

I sorta have their permission? I have permission to use it whenever! Sort of!

[ It's only sort of, but... Never mind, he's saying too much already, heading over to desk so he can push all his weight against it to move it.

The result of those few days training with Yuya........ results in nothing. The table does not move. ]

That doesn't sound like you really have permission. [Yuya just watches him struggle for a moment before he walks over and... doesn't help.

Instead he just presses his hands on it and leans his weight forward.] But if it's about trouble, having it on something you can carry with you makes a lot more sense, doesn't it? So what's the real reason you want it on your ceiling?

[ He gives up and sits on top of the desk instead, feet kicking. ]

...Because we're going to have sleepovers in this room? It's no good to anybody else if I'm the only carrying it, right?

What do you think is going to happen in your room... [Are they going to blow things up for something.

He reaches to tug Kano's sleeve twice between his fingers.] Get real permission first and I'll get you more stars to finish it if you need them. Even if it's a teacher, this is something personal to them.

[Yes, respecting the teacher's right to privacy for their sigil is the most pressing issue here. And a little bit that Kano's still on summoning daemons, but if he's gonna summon any it's really better to be a staff member.]

[ Blowing things up is a very real thing that could happen in Kano's room, okay. These dorms are reinforced for a reason. ]

Aw, alright, alright, I'll go talk to him. But we can still leave up what's there for now, right? It won't work unless it's complete anyways, right?

[ He just doesn't want to undo all his "hard work." Even a half sigil, he can use, somehow. He just likes the idea of having it right there. ]

Yeah, you don't have to take it down. [It's half a sigil, which Yuya thinks is unusable to anyone who won't know it.

He leans off the desk so he can actually help Kano move it this time.] Let's make some other shapes for now. Like starts out of stars, or we could make them swirly...

[ Thank god Yuya's going to help out with moving, or they won't ever get anywhere with Kano just trying to make an effort. ]

Hm, hm~ How 'bout something like this?

[ Once the desk is moved, Kano hops back onto it to start sticking stars up in the empty space. Something like an oval, but pointed at either end. A single star in the center of it. It's an eyeball, like the ones covering Toki's ceiling. Kano is maybe still salty about him. ]

[Toki has drawn that eyeball all over his side of things, although the shape is pretty generic.]

An eye to always watch over you, huh... [It's not that sweet, he knows. But, hm.

Yuya look around before grabbing a bag of stars and going to the blank wall next to the closet door.] Hey, how do you spell 'Ellie'?

[He's already starting to put up the E.]

Yep, that's right. [ It's the addendum he'd made to Toki's ceiling too, the assertion that the eyes are always watching, but they're watching over you. Apparently that just made things worse, but Kano doesn't know. ]

E-L-L-I-E. But is it weird to have her name on my closet? Like a gross clingy big bro... I dunno when her treatment's over and she can come back, either.

[Yuya looks over his shoulder.] I wasn't going to put just her name... I was thinking all of us, all of your friends? Me too, and Nana, all of them.

[Like a wall of friendship or something.]

Eh...

[ No way, no way, first of all, that's hella embarrassing. Kano can live with eyes and demon sigils plastered all over his room, but something so blatant as the names of all his friends there on the closet that protects his greatest secrets? No way, nope. ]

There'd be only like, four names???

[He was aiming for the wall next to it there's more room.p]

That's one name more than me, that's enough! [He laughs.] Who's the fourth?
