[Shit. Toki has no idea he's, you know, not an actual fucking jellyfish. Somehow this turned on him. He's blushing furiously, and slams his palm against the door-frame near Kano's head.]

Just. Stop whatever the fuck with Tsubomi. [He sneers and narrows his eyes.] And no more fae spirits in my tank, you little shit!

[ Oh my god. Kano doesn't even try to hide the surprise and delight on his face, because that's the appropriate action to have in this circumstances. ]

Haha, wow, it's you! It's nice to meet you! A handsome jellyfish~ I'd meant it, you know!!

[Tsuyukusa's not going to kill him here, but he might later. Should the need arise. For now, he's heading back downstairs before Toki or Yuya gets back.]

[ Kano's death has been long overdue, and he's pushing his luck even now, trotting down the hall after Tsuyukasa, looking as if it's Christmas for somebody who celebrates Christmas. ]

I'm glad to see you're alright, you know? I'd come back that time to check up on you two, you know??

[Tsuyukusa doesn't believe that for a second, but he stops to listen because technically, Kano hadn't done anything to Toki at the amusement park. He'd actually made him happy and he'd had a good time. Tsuyukusa, of course, got to hear all about it, several times. But what Kano did do, was create somebody who didn't exist, that Toki likes and wants to see more and can't find. It's a problem. He'll forget about Tsubomi after a while, and Tsuyukusa wants to make sure 'she' doesn't just show up again one day.]

Was that your idea of an apology for the Kokkuri-san shit?

Apology? Hmm... Something like that?

[ It wasn't really an apology, and he never intended to apologize-- knowing that he probably should, and out of all the people who was involved, Toki would be the person to apologize to. But Kano and apologies... they don't come out sincerely, they're prone to mess up and ruin things, and he just can't manage to make sorries sound sincere enough to be accepted, so he rarely tries. ]

I think breaking my arm made up for some of that too, though??

No. That was your own fault and you deserved it for being an idiot. Do you have something else to say?

[He can't stay here long. Someone will notice he's missing.]

[ Not at all; Kano absolutely hates taking about himself and his faults to other people, but he's a chatterbox who likes keeping other people talking and Tsuyukasa isn't an exception. Stay here and talk, versus going downstairs to Toki's room and talking... Kano doesn't seem inclined to go back to his room. ]

Yeah, I want to know more about you! How cool, I've never talked to a jellyfish before! I can come by sometime? I'll bring- aah, what do jellyfish eat? Water? I'll bring over a nice cold bottle of water and we can chat more~

[Kano can follow him back if he wants, but Tsuyukusa isn't going to linger in the hallways anymore. He heads for the stairs.]

[ He doesn't want to chat, but he's doing it anyways, Kano muses to himself with a smile on his face as he follows behind Tsuyukasa-- for the time being, anyways. ]

Not a real jellyfish? So what are you? Does Toki know?

[ Kid seems freaked about everything? But maybe he's okay with fake jellyfish floating around in a tank in the middle of the room watching over him every second of every day. Kano would hate that. ]

[Tsuyukusa doesn't answer until they get to the second floor. He's not sure if answering this kid is a good idea at all, but he figures Kano won't stop until he does and maybe he'll go away once his curiosity is satisfied.]

I'm a spirit from the Outlands; nature spirit. Toki doesn't know and I couldn't really ditch the jellyfish form for a while when she left me with him. Obviously I can now- But you've met him; you know what's he's like. Fuck, no way I'm telling him shit.

[He had planned to just leave once he had control again. Instead, he'd stayed in Toki's tank for five months after that already, and has no intention of leaving; he's somehow gotten attached and it's infuriating how much he actually likes that idiot.]

[ Telling Kano things is always a bad idea, especially things that 1) were meant to be a secret, and 2) are things Kano has no business knowing. Essentially, Tsuyukasa's handing him blackmail on a silver platter. ]

Nature spirit, huh~ So he doesn't know... It'd be real bad if I accidentally let something slip, wouldn't it? Aah, I hope I don't get careless around him~

[Fuck. He needs to leave the tank more and observe human behavior; he just walked right into that.]

[It's less confident than he wanted to sound. Though he doesn't consider Kano a real threat on that end. As they approach room 203, Tsuyukusa pulls out Toki's room key from his pocket. He snorts to himself, because Toki still has no idea where the key went.]

[ Nobody is here, so he takes the chance-

The transformation is seamless, a step and a skip and Tsubomi twirls around in by Tsuyukasa's side. ]

I wonder~ If he'd believe me, though? There's lots I want to talk to him about! And I wanted to come by and say hi to his jellyfish too~

Don't you fucking dare!

[Decision made. Kano's dying the next time he tries anything. He glares intensely, but he's also blushing again.]

[ But he's not dying right now, which is great, because if Tsuyukasa was there for the whole Kokkuri-san thing, he'd know to punch Kano here and now to get him to cut it out. But fighting in the middle of the hall, and him being a stranger wailing on a poor student? Not a good look~ ]

He won't believe me, right~ It's such an unimaginable thing, after all~ The jellyfish he loves so much, being somebody like this~

[ This is great. Kano can be a real shit when he's fearless, and he's feeling pretty fearless at the moment. Take this for barging into his room with threats. ]

[He can't really start a fight in the hallway, even if there's only a couple people on this floor. And though he may threaten to do things, he's not actually that vicious. Tsuyukusa's never killed anyone, or even maimed anyone. He stares Kano down, or tries to.]

What. Do you want? What will make this go away?

[ Smart, smart~ The blackmail works perfectly, and it's a renewable resource that allows Kano to milk it for all it's worth until Tsuyukasa finds a way out of it, or otherwise digs up dirt on Kano himself to use in retaliation.

In the meanwhile... What does he want? Really nothing more than to keep pestering Tsuyukasa, curious as he is about nature spirits and why one is living as a jellyfish in Toki's room, but is that something he can ask? ]

Hmm~ Well~ I'm kinda saving up for a motorbike, you know? But if you can't help with that, I'll let you off the hook this time~ I'll come back to play sometime soon!

[Kano is definitely harmless. Well, to him.]

[It's an excuse. He could easily steal money from Toki, who would absolutely never know and attribute any discrepancies to forgetting he bought something. However, if he does one favor for Kano, there will be more requested. He knows how these things work. Tsuyukusa unlocks the door, but blocks the entrance. Kano's not coming in. He has to be very careful with planned outings, and this one's been uncomfortably long already.]

Most of the time, but not all the time, right~? You came here especially to see little ol' me, didn'tcha? So let's go out sometime too~ Once a month, and you can remind me not to talk about this or that, 'cause my memory's not the best these days, you know?

[ It might be easier to just give him the money, honestly, instead of hanging out with him once a month. As Tsubomi, apparently, seeing as Kano doesn't drop the act. ]

[Why is this happening? Mulling it over, he almost suggests that Kano do the once a month not-date thing with Toki instead, but that's exactly what Tsuyukusa had gone to Kano to prevent in the first place. He lets out a frustrated sigh, because either way this isn't a good outcome. He doesn't want to give Kano leeway for future monetary gifts, and he doesn't want to go traipsing around amusement parks with this kid.]

If I go out with you once a month, you won't ask for anything else. You won't tell Toki about me. You won't harass him or even talk to him.

[If Tsuyukusa's going to agree to this, he's getting everything he wants out of it too. He can't stop Toki from initiating conversation with Kano, though.]

[ Tsuyukasa's covering a lot of bases here! That's a lot of stipulations, exactly how it should be when dealing with somebody like Kano, and that makes it easier for him too- knowing exactly what he's allowed and what he isn't- pushing where he isn't explicitly allowed and seeing the reactions that come out of it. ]

Hm, hm~~ Those sound fair to me~ But what of him talking to me? Is texting off limits? Sending somebody as a middle-man if I need to pass along a message? If I ignore him, won't he think I'm mad at him? What if we're grouped together for class or mission?

He can talk to you if he wants. No texting. No middle-men because you will never need to pass along a fucking message.

[He stops there, because yes. Toki will think Kano's mad at him. Then he'll spend hours whining to Tsuyukusa about it. This whole endeavor was a terrible idea. He was supposed to come off as threatening and authoritative.]

Fuck it. Do what you want. I'll deal with you when I need to.

[It's implied he means in a permanent way, or it would be if Tsuyukusa wasn't saying it like an irritated petulant child. He steps into the room and slams the door in Kano's face.]

[ Kano laughs under his breath, because he's only really scared of three people in his life, and Tsuyukasa doesn't come close. He lets the door slam in his face, and then drops his illusion, cups his hands in front of his face so he can call out through the door- it's that childish need to have the last word ]

I'll go ahead and do what I want, as always~ The offer's always open, so just let me know, 'kay~? Bye-bye~!
