[Ten minutes later, he's arrived outside the Savant dormitory, but keeps to the outskirts so as not to be seen by any faculty who didn't have classes to teach at the moment.]

[ Kano trots up ...thirty minutes later, he takes his sweet time with things and he comes as he always does, empty handed and with no excuse for needing the extra time. ]

Here I am~ Here you are~ Are you just going to use your phone to take the picture? All you gotta do is stand somewhere back to get the entire building in the frame~

[He doesn't ask why it took Kano so long, because they didn't have a specific time frame "right now" fit into, so he wasn't technically late.]

Yeah, that's it~!

[Toki stands far enough away from the building to get most of it in frame.]

Okay~! Tell me when~!

[Extra credit was so easy.]

Alright~ I gotta get close, so wait for my signal, 'kay?

[ The signal will be toilet paper appearing all over the dorms, but first Kano's got to himself over there— honestly, it's more trouble and danger on his part than Toki's putting himself in by sticking back here, but the guy desperately needs this for his grades, so.

Off he goes, just boldly striding up the path to the dorms and hoping the extent of his illusions will be enough to cover an entire building, it'll be a good exercise for him too. ]

[Toki isn't sure how close Kano has to be for illusions, or how much space he can use at once. He assumed that neither would be an issue, but there Kano goes up the path and not even being stealthy about it. Toki thinks this is going to backfire somehow.]

[ It's only going to backfire if one of the faculty comes out and asks why Kano's here, but even then, he's got a failsafe so that Toki will get his TP where only he can see it, the illusion hidden from everybody else who happens to be around. The only problem would be explaining what Kano's doing loitering around, but he's got excuses he can pull out of his sleeve, and as long as Toki doesn't barge in and try to explain anything, it'll be fine.

The way his illusion works, it happens in a blink, Kano standing on the welcome mat and looking this way and that... there's already toilet paper hanging off the rooftop and caught on the windowsills and whatever trees are close enough to the building. The problem is— ahh, whatever, this'll have to do. Kano picks up the welcome mat and crouches behind it like it's a shield and then texts Toki his signal. ]

Try not to get me in the picture!!!!!
Take it now!!!!!
Hurry!!!!!!!!!!!!

[Toki switches to the camera app as soon as he gets the text. He angles the photo a bit differently, so Kano and his horrible hiding spot aren't seen. He takes three photos in succession just in case.]

[ Kano high-tails it out of there, carrying the welcome mat over his head like it can hide his identity from behind as he runs away, also because he wants to get something out of this. ]

Did it turn out okay? You'll send a copy to me, right? So I'll get extra credit too?

I don't know! I haven't looked yet!

[Oh shit.]

Wait, you were supposed to be in the photo too or take one of your own! How else will he know you were actually here! You can't send him a picture of me for your extra credit!

The same way it's proof you sent it? As long I text the picture from my phone, it should work, right? If you send one to me and I send it to him??

[He can't figure out Kano's logic on this one.]

It's supposed to be a picture of you in front of the building?

Eh~ Were you taking selfies? Can't I just tell Avery I disguised myself as you?

Yes! But okay I guess that will work~!

[He sends copies of the photos to Kano's phone.]

[ Yay! These pictures go into his album of criminal activities. ]

Alright~! Now I have proof of your vandalism~!! I wonder what all the other teachers will think about this?

[Why is he so incredibly stupid?]

Don't send them to anybody! I thought you wanted to help!

Hahaha, I said I'd help your grades, didn't I? This is a whole separate matter~

[ He pockets his phone before Toki can grab it out of his hands or anything, and starts skipping away back to their dorms. ]

Aren't I harmless, though~? You'd be sending the pictures to Avery too, won't you? Giving him ammunition like that too~

What are you planning!?

[But then he doesn't care anymore when Kano's next comment hits him.]

That's exactly what I'm doing and I didn't even realize it! It's just giving him like blackmail! I love you, Kano~!

[Kano just stopped him from making a huge mistake. He can fail Daemon Contracting. That's okay. There are worse things.]

[ Extra credit like this, he thought that might've been what Avery's going for— rather than generosity, it's ammunition, teaching a lesson, things Kano can come up with because it's like that too, a little demon. ]

Haha, what a strong sentiment~ You're that grateful, huh? Maybe you can do something for me in return?

[He isn't even considering that Kano sill has the pictures, or that this may be end up being one of the "worse things" he was just thinking about.]

[ How great, Kano gets to have blackmail material and a promise... ]

An IOU~ For anything I ask in the future, you must follow through with the favor no matter what it is, as long as it's not murder.

[That's easy. He'd rather owe Kano a favor than Avery.]

[suddenlybees]

[ IOU number four... This is his substitute for not having friends to call in his times of need, he can just invoke these IOUs. ]

Done deal~! Remember this, okay!? You won't forget about this!!?!

I can't promise that~! But I'll try not to forget~!

[Kano didn't need an IOU; Toki would do things for him anyway.]

[ doing favors for him is dangerous, Toki... but I'm glad he's thinking more about whether it's worth it or not ]

Hm~ Don't you have a little notepad app on your phone or something you can use to write down notes in? That way, you won't forget important things like this~

[He uses that for visions, but hasn't really been making notes on other little things. He opens the app and types in "owe kano 1 favor". He holds the screen up for Kano's inspection.]
